The one major plus point that the RX 480 has going for it is CrossFire; multiple graphics card support. The GTX 1060 has SLI disabled which does give the lead to AMD in this regard and anyone running a pair of RX 480 STRIX cards in their system will not be disappointed; make sure your most played games support CrossFire before...
Overall we were quite happy with the “mainstream” performance of the ASUS ROG Strix Gaming RX 480 8GB and we aren’t sure we would classify it mainstream at all. It flts more in the lower tier enthusiast class than mainstream which makes our mouths water for upcoming higher tier Polaris...
