📝 Description

The components were selected to build a stable, very best top of the line, somewhat affordable system I could use for home AI development for the next few years. It should be silent when idling or browsing.

I hope to achieve this by chosing the following:

  • top of the line cpu - ie i9 13900ks
  • top of the line GPU with maximum memory of 24GB for AI models ie Nvidea 4090. I chose MSI supreme
  • maximum amount of fast memory - recent QVL upped max memory to 192gb
  • top of line nvme ssd - i currently use 1 TB so I am getting 2TB. I am getting two ssd's for backup and redundancy
  • top of the line lan speed to connect to local NAS ie 10gbe
  • case with room for two external drives for easy disk to disk backups
  • sufficient cooling fans to prevent throttling and prolong life

The system is just a plan as I have not yet purchased any parts.
