AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X does not include a stock cooler, remember to add one to your build!
Updating BIOS may be required to support the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X CPU. Minimum BIOS version required: (P1.30 - Castle Peak)
ECC support also depends on the CPU memory controller.
Adding non-ECC memory to an ECC system will disable the error-checking and correcting ability of your memory modules.
Mixing RAM modules is a bad practice. It may work, but you'll probably experience system instability.
