G.Skill has delayed the launch while waiting for its new memory kits to work on some of the most popular Z490 motherboards out there after a long testing phase.

G.Skill has announced the launch of new DDR4 memory kits at extreme speed that push modules from 16 GB and 8 GB up to DDR4-4400 with low latency. Latencies for memory are CL17-18-18-38 across the board under the Trident Z Royal family. G.Skill says memory modules are designed specifically for the latest Intel Z490 platform to achieve higher performance for games and creating content.

G.Skill says that as 32GB memory capacity becomes the standard for gaming and high-end performance-oriented PCs, it's facing the challenge. The 32 GB memory kit was strained on an MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Plus motherboard using an Intel Core i5-10600K processor. The same memory was also tested on the ASRock Z490 Aqua motherboard using an Intel Core i9-10900K processor.

Trident Z Royal high-speed and low latency memory kits will be available through G.Skill World Distribution Partners from the third quarter of 2020. The memory modules are made using Samsung B-die integrated circuits. The company also announced some improved latencies for its 8 GB x 2 DDR4-4400 kits.

G.Skill specified: "G.SKILL reduced the memory latency of kits by 16 GB (8 GB x 2) on DDR4-4400 to CL17-18-18-38". The memory kit was validated on the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA motherboard, based on the Intel Z490 chipset, with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor. At the moment the company has not announced prices for its new memory kits.
